Dans le cadre de la lutte contre la criminalité faunique, les agents de la Brigade spéciale des Douanes de l’Aéroport International Blaise Diagne (AIBD) ont réalisé une saisie portant sur onze (11) colis d’ailerons de raies séchés pour un poids total de 550 kg. D’après « Libération », l’opération a eu lieu ce mercredi 29 mars 2023.
Le journal informe que la marchandise était sur le point d’être expédiée en Chine via le fret aérien par une société de pêche basée au Sénégal. La saisie est évaluée à 191 000 000 de FCFA.
En effet, Les raies figurent parmi les espèces protégées par la Convention sur le commerce international des espèces de faune et de flore sauvages menacées d’extinction (Cites)
