La coalition Yewwi Askan Wi avait décidé d’organiser des manifestations ce vendredi 26 mai 2023. Selon Les Echos, aucune d’entre elles n’a été autorisée. Aussi bien la marche prévue sur l’itinéraire de l’Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop que celle sur l’Avenue Bourguiba. Elles ont tous été interdites par le préfet de Dakar.
Les interdictions sont justifiées par le fait que l’heure n’est pas précisée dans la demande d’autorisation alors que la coalition était à fond dans la préparation de ces grands rassemblements.
Pour rappel, la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi avait prévu d’organiser ces manifestations pour dénoncer la tentative du président Macky Sall « d’éliminer de potentiels adversaires à l’élection présidentielle 2024 ».
