L’aventure londonienne ne se passe pas comme prévu pour le champion d’Afrique 2021. Transféré en début de saison à Chelsea, en provenance de Naples, Kalidou Koulibaly vit des moments dans son nouveau club. La faute à des prestations du joueur, à l’image de toute l’équipe, en deçà des attentes.
Dans une interview, le champion du monde français, passé par Chelsea, Emmanuel Petit, a donné son avis sur la situation du roc sénégalais.
«Il y a tellement de jeunes défenseurs à Chelsea. Ils ont Chalobah et Fofana, mais mon principal souci est que Potter joue avec trois défenseurs centraux et Kalidou Koulibaly n’aime pas ce système», fait-il savoir.
Pour Manu Petit, Kalidou «a l’habitude de jouer dans un back four à Naples et c’est quelque chose de totalement différent pour lui. Donc, il a du mal. En plus de cela, il joue dans une League beaucoup plus rapide que la Serie A et, quelques semaines après avoir rejoint le club, Tuchel a été limogé. Chelsea a pris tellement de mauvaises décisions».
