Le consultant de Canal+, Habib Beye, n’a pas voulu blâmer les trois joueurs de Toulouse qui ont refusé de porter le maillot floqué d’un numéro arc-en-ciel.
Ce week-end en Ligue 1, c’était la journée de la lutte contre l’homophobie. A cette occasion, et comme c’est le cas chaque année, la Ligue de Football a imposé à tous les acteurs du championnat français de porter le maillot avec un numéro arc-en-ciel pour soutenir la cause. La majorité s’est exécutée, mais il y a aussi eu quelques refus.
Beye veut une mobilisation pour toutes les causes
Trois joueurs de Toulouse (Zakaria Aboukhlal, Moussa Diarra et Said Hamulic) ainsi qu’un autre du FC Nantes (Mostafa Mohamed) ont demandé à ne pas jouer dimanche. Les trois premiers ont même été sanctionnés par leur club pour cette initiative.
Sont-ils condamnables ? Habib Beye, le coach franco-sénégalais du Red Star, a choisi de s’exprimer sur le sujet. Lors de l’émission Canal Football Club de Canal+, il a indiqué que ces joueurs-là ne doivent pas être montrés du doigt. « Il faut respecter leurs convictions personnelles, même si on n’est pas d’accord avec eux. C’est difficile de les critiquer, car on ne connait pas ces personnes-là. Moi je ne la partage pas (leur position, ndlr), car il faut représenter toutes les causes qui sont nobles. Et celle-ci est nécessaire dans le monde dans lequel on vit ».
Relancé sur la question pour savoir s’il était prêt à discuter avec ces joueurs pour leur montrer la voie collective, Beye a rétorqué : « Mais je ne suis pas juge moi. Et si on doit porter ce cas devant la justice, faudrait le faire avec toutes les causes. Pas que celle-là. Dans une cause, il est impossible que tout le monde pense la même chose ».
