after his presentation to the national assembly on 3 may, prime minister manuel valls has used the procedure of article 49-3 of the constitution which allowed to pass the bill by the national assembly in the first reading without mps vote. the motion of censure tabled by the right has indeed been rejected on 12 may (246 votes, while 288 votes were needed).
el khomri bill is now before the senate until june 24 it will be voted on 28, before his return to the national assembly in late june - early july.
according to manuel valls, the text should be definitively adopted in july. the text should appear in the official journal later this summer. wassalam !!!
