Une visite technique a été organisée le mercredi 10 janvier par les autorités sénégalaises en présence de Madame Pina, adjointe au Maire de Gorée.
La nouvelle chaloupe a été baptisée du nom de « Boubacar Joseph Ndiaye », ancien et illustre conservateur de la « Maison des Esclaves ».
Dotée de trois cent cinquante (350) places assises, dont 86 sièges VIP, la nouvelle chaloupe renforcera la liaison maritime entre Dakar et Gorée, suscitant la joie des Goréens.
