Des manifestations de Sénégalais ont éclaté aux portes de l’hôtel où séjourne le président de Macky Sall, dans le quartier d’Amoreiras à Lisbonne.
La situation a dégénéré en violence, exigeant l’intervention musclée de la Police de Sécurité Publique (PSP). Le chef d’État sénégalais, actuellement sous le feu de contestations populaires pour de présumées violations des droits de l’homme et instrumentalisation de la justice, se trouve au Portugal pour assister au match de la sélection nationale du Sénégal contre le Brésil.
Selon les informations recueillies, « la comitiva de Macky Sall a été confrontée à des protestations à la porte de l’hôtel, au même temps qu’un autre groupe de manifestants apportait son soutien au président ». Ces deux groupes antagonistes ont fini par entrer en confrontation, poussant les agents du Corps de Sécurité Personnelle de la PSP escortant la délégation présidentielle à demander des renforts
Plusieurs Equipes d’Intervention Rapide ont été déployées sur les lieux. On ignore pour le moment s’il y a eu des arrestations ou des blessés suite à cet incident.
