Contrats d’affermage entre l'État et Sen’eau: Diomaye Faye demande un audit rapide
Sur le même sujet relatif à l’accès à l’eau potable dans les centres urbains et en milieu rural, qui demeure une préoccupation majeure des populations, le chef de l'Etat a aussi demandé au Premier Ministre de tenir un Conseil interministériel sur le secteur hydraulique afin de lui faire des propositions urgentes visant notamment l’accélération des réalisations des projets hydrauliques (forages, châteaux d’eau, réseaux…), l’évaluation des délégations de service public de l’eau potable en milieux urbain et rural, l’évaluation du système de tarification de l’eau et l’adoption d’un grand programme national consolidé d’accès à l’eau potable.
Le successeur de Macky Sall a, par ailleurs, décidé de la création d’une Autorité de régulation du secteur de l’eau pour améliorer la gouvernance de l’eau au Sénégal.
