Blessé au péroné du genou droit tout juste avant le début de la Coupe du monde Qatar 2022, l’international sénégalais Sadio Mané est éloigné des terrains pendant plusieurs semaines.
Alors que son actuel club Bayern Munich se prépare pour affronter, en février, le champion de France en titre Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), le technicien anglais Julian Nagelsmann a donné des nouvelles de Sadio Mané. Le message est clair : Sadio Mané pourrait jouer la double confrontation contre le PSG
« Si tout se passe vraiment, vraiment bien, il y a une chance qu’il puisse jouer contre le PSG, même au match aller. Mais il faut que les choses se passent très, très bien. C’est peut-être un petit risque aussi. Maintenant, il faut regarder le processus de guérison », a déclaré Julian Nagelsmann dans des propos relayés par Bayern Munich France.
Julian Nagelsmann d’ajouter : « Il s’est déjà entraîné à la course. Je ne peux pas donner une prédiction précise [sur la date de retour de Mané]. Mais dans ma tête, le plan est plutôt qu’il ne jouera pas le match aller contre le PSG (…) Tout simplement pour ne pas mettre autant de pression sur les joueurs blessés. Mais il est définitivement sur la bonne voie. Il est en train de faire son programme de rééducation. Son retour va prendre encore quelques semaines. »
